YOOPknows Development News Review 2023 Work In Progress for 2024

New sticky kanban cards, better than sticky korean chicken!

Work In Progress – YOOPKnkows Developer Updates

A round-up of what changed in the last few months of 2023. (Road Map for 2024 next week)

So the big thing was “sticky cards”, what’s that, you say?

So previously in the card system where you would create a task for someone to do, add a deadline and instructions, and link it to a project. When adding to a team member’s “doing” or “waiting” it would position in chronological order.

But like magic, you. Can now put them where you want them and they stay. Sounds simple, and that’s the way we always wanted it. But Super Simon Dev (developer) cracked it. Like squeezing in that extra flat around a core to boost the flat numbers to make it work for the developer (they always want more).

Well done Simon.

Features:

  • Sticky cards (kanban cards) — Drag your cards to any position you like and they’ll stay there.
  • Add the ability to put a project On Hold on the Project's admin page — On Hold projects can be filtered on the dashboard with the new ‘On hold’ filter. Phase one of this update, Im excited about phase 2.
  • Project Docs link in client project view — Clients can now easily access project docs too.
  • Improved periods for card durations — To simplify things, we’ve dropped the weeks field and 1 day now = 8 hours.
  • New project partner roles: Building Control Officer and Ecologist

Bug fixes:

  • The green check mark now shows for completed tasks in the client project view
  • Improved remaining active projects wording on the admin Projects page
